The Leaves Are Brown, And The Sky Is Grey I Went for a walk On A Winter's Day.

Red Double Breasted Coat from F21 + Black Long Sleeve Tulip Dress from H&M + Mustard Colored scarf  +  Belt from Foreign Exchange + Brown Suede Ankle Boots from Fossil

I'm Alive! I know I know , I've been gone for a while and there's no way to explain the immense feeling of guilt i have when i don't post for you guys. But I'm sure you guys understand that we all get busy with the demands of life.

Well lately I've been really loving the opportunities for layering that this time of the year gives.Between chunky sweaters, scarfs , and boots I've been trying to stock up on my fall fashion essentials. Living in California isn't the idealist place for hiding behind bundles of clothes but i think that as long as you own a good pair of boots, a trench coat, and  a scarf then you've added pieces to your wardrobe that can be worn so many different ways. Fall has definitely been my main influence in my outfit choices. Today i couldn't help but take in the sight of the different colored leaves and the red ones appealed to me the most. Hence my red jacket that some of you might recognize from a previous post around this time last year. I absolutely cannot part with this jacket (not that I've tried to) but it seems that when I'm looking to add some UMPH! to my outfit on a cold chilly day, i always tend to reach for it.

I'm also wanting some feedback from you guys on any special posts you'd like me to do. One reader suggested i do a "13 piece 15 looks" post were basically i take the same 13 pieces of clothing and show you guys how to make 15 looks out of it. Just a thought. Let me know if you guys would like to see that or have any other requests!

Nude & Gold

Nude&Gold

It seems like every time I visit Polyvore , I'm faced with lusting over so many beautiful pieces that a girl could only dream for. Not knocking the site but Man oh Man! would I like to get my hands on the Herve Leger Square Dress with the grand price tag of $2,800.That sure is alot of MOOLA! Oh well a girl can dream, right?

Anyway above are some of the items that I was drawn to. In my opinion you can never go wrong with nude and gold. I can just imagine the way these two colors will complement the hues of fall. Between the yellow and orange foilage and the pretty red leaves from poisenttia plants I'm sure my house will be filled with, I can already imagine a very fall-esque color scheme!

Fashion's Night Out LA.

before the sun went down
Shirt & Skirt From F21 |  Booties From H&M | Bucket Bag from Urban Outfitters| Necklace from ChinaTown |  Mac lipstick in Rebel

Yesterday was one of LA's biggest fashion events and if your not familiar with Fashion's Night Out then you've truly missed out. Stemming from the kick off of NYFW, Fashion's night out gives citys from many different locations around the country the opportunity to celebrate their love for fashion. I started my night off by heading to the Beverly Center where one could enjoy fashion shows ,celebrity guest appearances, and seeing the many people who are deeply influenced by the fashion world. Feeling so in my element was never so prevalent! Although this night is really big for shopping and for catching special deals I only acquired one clothing item which was a t-shirt I purchased from Bloomingdale's with the FNO logo on the front. The next stop on my journey through the city was a drive on the streets with some of the staple stores of LA/Hollywood. Among those stores were Fred Segal, Alexander McQueen, Herve Ledger, & Marc Jacobs (which I have to say had the cutest set up and even featured a live car inside!). I didn't quite have the time or the patience to park and drive to every store that caught my eye, but a quick look while passing had to be adequate. All through town were an abundance of events and after party's but I decided to end off my night by going to Rodeo drive to enjoy a toned down version of a carnival starring a Ferris Wheel and Cirque Du soleil performers.
& btw be sure to check out an interview I did for Black Fashion here.
